Senior Product Experience Designer  - Payments

Adyen is looking for a Product Designer to join our UX team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the Payments solution. The global engine that powers every transaction for the world's most ambitious businesses. You’ll work at the intersection of complex financial logic and human-centric design, ensuring that global commerce remains seamless, secure, and accessible.

The Payments solution is the bedrock of Adyen’s offering, enabling merchants to accept, process, and settle payments across any channel and every continent. As a Product Designer, you will dive deep into the technical intricacies of our core processing engine to design intuitive interfaces that help merchants optimize their performance and expand into new markets with confidence.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and design complex product ecosystems by deeply understanding customer goals and aligning user needs with business objectives, using data-driven insights and discovery methods.
  • Support the creation of a more unified experience across initiatives related to device fleet lifecycle and management, acting as a design contact point and collaborating across multiple product teams.
  • Design simple, intuitive, and high-quality interfaces that solve complex user problems and support impactful initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners, integrating feedback and supporting strategic improvements.
  • Contribute to improving design practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while mentoring and supporting other team members.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience designing complex hardware and/or software products, with strong system and product thinking.
  • Hands-on experience across wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity design, with an understanding of technical implementation.
  • Interface design experience, familiarity with design systems, and affinity with accessible and inclusive design.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to speak up and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Figma, curiosity, openness to different perspectives, and the ability to work effectively in an egoless team.

Nice-to-have:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Interaction (Product) Design or a related field.
  • Experience facilitating workshops with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience designing terminal or device interfaces.
  • Experience designing with AI.
  • Payments or fintech experience.
