As part of an exciting uplift to our Procurement and Vendor Management team, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Procurement to join the team!
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Head of PVMO team to deliver Procurement as a function, and support Vendor Management/Governance. The position will develop and operate a Procurement Management Office aligned to Cuscal’s organisational needs.
The position is responsible for ensuring that Cuscal’s is obtaining return on investment from its business vendors through disciplined and consistent contractual terms, annual cost management planning and targets, sound governance and early resolution of any vendor issues.
The role requires the ability to engage with and communicate to Cuscal staff about the PVMO role and responsibilities, to develop strong relationships with vendors, to understand business drivers aligned to the strategy and vendor needs, and to procure and negotiate clear contractual arrangements.
You’ll also make an impact by:
Responsible for the development and implementation of a target state procurement operating model and the short, and long-term objectives to deliver the target state.
Responsible for the development of annual procurement objectives and alignment of objectives with Cuscal strategy.
Responsible for the development of procurement practice and process policies and process for the PVMO and the education and communication of these to Cuscal staff.
Responsible for the contract and commercial negotiation of major/strategic vendor agreements.
Responsible for the development of specific sourcing strategies for identified business needs.
Responsible for the communication and education of business stakeholders regarding procurement process and deliverables.
Responsible for identifying and managing any PVMO related risks and issues.
Guidance to Cuscal staff regarding their roles in the sourcing process.
Drive adoption of new PVMO operating model, processes and procedures.
Ensure compliance by vendors with the IT specific requirements of regulatory agencies such as APRA, APCA and RBA.
What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
8+ years’ experience in Procurement, Contract Management, Vendor Management and Governance processes within financial services, ideally in a payments or digital banking context.
Demonstrated capability to establish, define and run a Procurement Vendor Management Office.
Demonstrated knowledge of the technology vendor market.
Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies.
Demonstrated capacity to negotiate sound commercial outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute cost management plans.
Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and communicate with internal stakeholders.
Experience in stakeholder relationship management, influence and decisioning making.
A Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to manage multiple initiatives / issues / escalations.
