Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Frameworks, to join our Group Risk & Compliance function.

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Frameworks, will actively drive the development and implementation of the Risk Management Framework and Strategy (RMFS) and core enablers including risk culture.

You’ll also make an impact by:

Contributing to the strategic development, implementation and ongoing delivery of Cuscal’s RMFS to enable the effective management of risk to support the achievement of our corporate objectives and compliance with industry, regulatory and prudential standards and requirements.
Developing, implementing and monitoring of the ESG framework and coordinate related disclosures and reporting.
Developing the Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) which clearly articulate the degree of risk the organisation is willing to take in pursuit of its objectives, and which considers an appropriate balance between risk, reward and regulatory compliance in line with strategic objectives.
Implementing the RAS and embedding it across the organisation with effective ongoing monitoring and reporting practices.
Supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing review of the RMFS governance structures.
Supporting the development and implementation of strategic and emerging risk management frameworks, policies and procedures, to identify and manage material risks to ensure the prudent and sound risk management across the organisation.
Complying with the Regulator Engagement Policy and respective engagement strategies and practices for regulators and external body liaison to foster a strong and positive relationship between Cuscal and external bodies and regulators.

What you’ll bring

You’re a critical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems; you have excellent communications skills and a passion for risk. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to contribute to a dynamic team.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have the following experience:

Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., finance, commerce, business, audit)
7+ years of experience in compliance management within the finance and banking industry.
Solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, prudential requirements
Demonstrated experience in risk management frameworks in the financial services sector, including the design and implementation of effective risk and compliance management frameworks, and a sound knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
Experience with engagement with external parties, ideally with regulators and industry forums.
Demonstrated experience in building risk and compliance maturity and capability across the first and second lines of accountability and experience/exposure to better industry practice.
Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships.
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and be able to demonstrate sound judgment.
