As a Senior Engineer, you’ll serve as both a hands-on developer and a technical leader. You’ll architect front-end systems, guide design decisions, mentor teammates, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative web, mobile, and API-driven banking products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect and develop reusable front-end systems powering complex web applications (React, Next.js).

  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX and product teams to shape and deliver roadmap features.

  • Integrate and coordinate with third-party services and platforms.

  • Participate in planning, scoping, and road mapping sessions to define technical requirements.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and advocate for best practices.

  • Build, test, and deploy code using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

  • Contribute to Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and on-call rotations.

  • Champion accessibility, security, and performance in all development work.

**Pay Range for this position is - $140,000 - $160,000

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

An ideal team member will be a senior/principal-level front-end engineer that has experience with many of these technologies and practices:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks—React and Next.js required.

  • Strong expertise in front-end languages (HTML, CSS) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+).

  • Experience architecting new systems in an API-driven, microservices environment.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript tooling (NPM, Webpack, or similar bundlers).

  • Proven ability to build responsive, cross-browser, and cross-device compatible interfaces.

  • Hands-on experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest preferred).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, or CircleCI).

  • Solid understanding of computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures).

  • Demonstrated ability to own projects through the full development lifecycle.

  • Security-first mindset and willingness to work in a regulated environment.

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to Haves

  • Astro, Node.js, and WordPress experience.
  • Experience building reusable UI libraries and design systems.
  • Strong understanding of semantic, accessible markup (W3C, WAI, WCAG/Section 508).
  • Full-stack exposure (Node.js, REST APIs, serverless architectures).
  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience instrumenting, monitoring, and debugging production systems.
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
