Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Underwriter to join our underwriting team. The Junior Underwriter will assist in evaluating financial documents, assessing risk, and helping determine funding eligibility for small business clients. This is an entry-level position, ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in finance or risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze business bank statements, credit reports, and other financial documents
• Assist in the assessment of risk and funding eligibility
• Work closely with senior underwriters and sales teams to ensure applications are processed accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and underwriting software
• Communicate with internal teams regarding incomplete or missing documentation
• Learn and apply underwriting guidelines and company procedures
• Support daily underwriting operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• Prior experience in underwriting, banking, or financial services is a plus but not required
