As part of an exciting uplift to our Procurement and Vendor Management team, we are looking for a Manager, Service Provider Risk Management (SPRM) to join the team!

The purpose of the Manager, SPRM is to support Service Owners with the engagement of and management of service provider risk assessment. This is designed to deliver outcomes that effectively meet Cuscal’s requirements to ensure service providers risks are identified, and subsequent contracts are uplifted to ensure they comply with their contractual obligations, and risks are managed effectively.

The position is primarily responsible for the management of external resources to complete the risk assessment. The role will strive to facilitate harmonious relationships and problem-solving efforts across Cuscal and its vendors.

You’ll also make an impact by:

Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the Service Provider Risk Management Standard/Framework, aligned with APRA CPS230 and internal governance standards.
Manage an offshore team responsible for conducting risk assessments and due diligence on new and existing material service providers, ensuring alignment with the Cuscal’s operational risk and service provider management policies.
Work closely with the Vendor Governance Manager to jointly oversee third-party risk management practices, including performance monitoring, contract compliance, and risk remediation.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Risk, Information Security, Technology, and other business units to ensure cohesive and consistent third-party risk management practices.
Maintain a robust and current register of material service providers, ensuring appropriate classification, controls, and ongoing monitoring are in place.
Drive the risk assessment process for critical and material outsourcing arrangements, ensuring key risks are identified, documented, and treated.
Support the development of third-party risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting for internal governance forums and regulatory bodies (including APRA).
Stay abreast of changes in regulatory expectations, industry trends, and internal risk appetite to ensure third-party risk management practices remain fit-for-purpose.
Provide guidance and oversight to the offshore team, ensuring high-quality and consistent assessments, documentation, and reporting.
Contribute to internal audit and regulatory reviews related to CPS 230, outsourcing, or operational risk management.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

5+ years’ experience in risk management, third-party/vendor risk, or compliance within financial services, ideally in a payments or digital banking context.
Strong working knowledge of APRA CPS230, CPS231, and operational risk requirements relevant to ADIs.
Experience in Vendor Management and Governance Processes.
Experienced stakeholder relationship management.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to manage multiple initiatives / issues / escalations.
