Mission: Join us as a Business Development Manager to spearhead Qonto's expansion in the Netherlands by building strategic relationships and representing our brand at key industry events. You'll be the face of Qonto in the Dutch market, developing new business opportunities that our online channels cannot reach.


As our first Business Development Manager in the Netherlands, you'll work closely with Georg, our Managing Director Netherlands, to establish Qonto's presence across the Netherlands targeting the thriving fintech, SaaS, and coworking space ecosystems.


👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Business Development Manager at Qonto, you will: 

Build and convert pipeline through "one-to-many" customer acquisition moments, generating qualified leads via industry events, coworking venues, and business centers

Represent Qonto as brand ambassador at networking events and conferences, conducting live product demonstrations and building strategic partnerships with key industry players

Target upmarket prospects across fintech, SaaS, and professional services, focusing on companies that require personal engagement and relationship-based selling

Collaborate with partnerships team to leverage coworking space partnerships and business center relationships, converting partnership agreements into individual customer acquisitions

Generate measurable results by achieving ambitious revenue targets while maintaining consistent activity levels through calls, meetings, and events

Market opportunity: You'll be entering the dynamic Dutch business landscape at a pivotal moment, with Amsterdam emerging as Europe's fintech hub and a thriving startup ecosystem hungry for innovative financial solutions

Entrepreneurial environment: As our first Business Development Manager in the Netherlands, you'll have the autonomy to build processes from scratch and shape how we approach the Dutch market

Event-driven strategy: You'll leverage Amsterdam's rich conference and networking scene, from Amsterdam Tech Week to local fintech meetups, establishing Qonto as a key player in the Dutch business finance space

Partnership ecosystem: Work closely with established coworking spaces like Spaces, WeWork, and local business centers to access high-quality prospects through strategic partnerships

Tools and support: Access to our proven sales stack including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Notion, plus comprehensive onboarding and ongoing support from our Growth team


🤝 About your future manager: Georg brings extensive experience in scaling business development across European markets, having successfully launched similar initiatives in Germany and Spain.

He's passionate about building high-performing teams and will provide you with the strategic guidance and autonomy needed to establish Qonto's presence in the Netherlands. Georg values data-driven approaches and will work with you to define clear success metrics while giving you the freedom to innovate and adapt to the unique Dutch market dynamics.


🏅 About You: 

Sales & networking experience: Several years in outbound sales, partnerships, or business development, with proven success in relationship-based selling and experience closing deals with SME clients

Event & presentation skills: Comfortable representing brands at industry events, conducting live product demonstrations, and building relationships through networking - you thrive in face-to-face interactions

Market adaptability: Experience selling products with minimal brand recognition and the resilience to build credibility from scratch in a new market

Self-direction & flexibility: Proven ability to work independently, manage varied scope, and adapt to business needs while maintaining consistent performance in a fast-paced environment

Industry affinity: Background in fintech, SaaS, or other relationship-driven industries, with understanding of the Dutch business landscape and cultural nuances

Location: Amsterdam | Hybrid working model (3 days office, 2 days remote)
