What will I be doing?- Design and build security for our cloud environment
- Managing application layer security by administering the WAF and its configuration
- Collaborating in the administration of other defensive security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, among others
- Working collaboratively with other security teams to identify and mitigate risks
- Work closely with the infrastructure and product teams who are using AWS, and ensure that they have secure-by-default systems
- Document operational procedures and protocols regarding security
- Develop and implement consistent and automated patch management in concert with systems teams
- Responsible for the analysis to provide indicators for enterprise defensive measures
- Suggest and implement new frameworks and tools to reduce attack surface
What skills will I need to have?- Strong understanding on how to respond and manage incidents in cloud based environments
- Demonstrated experience of administration and maintenance of anti-malware tools (EDR, and others)
- Huge familiarity of application and perimeter protection solutions (WAF, Firewall's, CASB, and others)
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as CIS Controls, OWASP, NIST and others
- Knowledge with Cloud platforms (majorly AWS, but can be Azure and GCP as well)
- Great background in scripting and coding (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc)
- Great background in managing and operating SOC solutions and procedures (Dashboards, Alerts, Integrations, and more)
- Experience with log aggregation/concentration (Wazuh, ELK stack, Graylog, and others) and also SIEM solutions (Splunk, LogRhythm, SumoLogic, and others)
- Understanding of how to build security on CI/CD environments
- Know-how of containerization technology such as Docker and Kubernetes and the ability to deploy hardened configurations using orchestration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or others)
- Great background in data protection solutions (Information Classification solutions, DLP, Data Mapping, Encryption, and others)
Will be considered a plus:- Certified in any related security development certifications like BTL1/2/3, Security+, CEH, ECIH or others
- Previously experienced in DevOps or DevSecOps roles
- Exposure to PCI-DSS framework or any other relevant security standard will be valued
- Good knowledge of security architectures, both monoliths and microservices, including how they are developed and operate at scale
- Have had developed a personal or enterprise software/script with focus on security (Hardening automation, API integration for security dashboards, any other use case)
- Good understanding of Machine learning, RAG, and LLM logic in the context of security results.
