Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is hiring a Specialist II, Events & Partnerships to help drive the planning, execution, and optimization of high-impact events and strategic partnerships for the FACTS or Nelnet Campus Commerce brands. This mid-level role is instrumental in executing event programs that support pipeline growth, client engagement, and brand visibility in the EdTech and B2B SaaS markets.Plan and execute in-person and virtual events, managing timelines, logistics, speakers, booth setup, and lead capture.
Act as the main point of contact for select events, ensuring all deliverables and on-site/virtual needs are fulfilled.
Coordinate with creative and internal teams to develop event collateral, branded materials, and promotional items.
Manage webinars and digital events, including technical setup, registration, and audience engagement tracking.
Compile post-event insights and performance data to drive continuous improvement in event strategy.
Support partnership campaigns, ensuring co-branded assets and deliverables are completed and aligned with timelines.
Track and report on partnership performance, collaborating with Marketing Ops and Sales for ROI analysis.
Align event messaging with broader marketing goals, working cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, and Content.
Maintain event operations systems, including calendars, budget tracking, asset libraries, and project documentation.
Stay informed on industry trends in event technology and hybrid engagement to enhance future program impact.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
1-3 years of experience in event marketing, partner marketing, or corporate event planning, preferably in B2B, SaaS, or EdTech.
Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Creatio) is a plus.
Demonstrated success managing logistics, vendors, timelines, and post-event reporting with minimal supervision.
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple projects across deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting or managing stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Teams), and event/webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, ON24, Whova).
Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
Strong customer-service orientation and team-first mindset.
Willingness to travel (occasionally, up to 10%) to support in-person events as needed.
**Pay Range for this role is - $50,000 - $52,000
