Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is seeking a strategic and data-savvy AI and Marketing Intelligence Specialist I to advance our marketing performance and innovation. This role is a key contributor to the success of our Revenue Operations (RevOps) team, driving insights that improve campaign strategy, accelerate demand generation, and integrate emerging AI technologies into our marketing ecosystem.

In this role, you’ll analyze marketing data, optimize performance across the funnel, and help shape our use of AI for reporting, personalization, segmentation, and campaign automation. You’ll work closely with the RevOps, Product Marketing, and Content teams, and collaborate with technical stakeholders to deploy AI models and custom agents across our stack.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a marketing professional who blends analytical depth with curiosity for AI and a desire to push our marketing intelligence forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze multi-channel marketing performance (paid media, SEO, email, events, web) to optimize lead generation, engagement, and ROI.

  • Track and interpret funnel metrics to uncover insights and improve the buyer journey from awareness to conversion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, RevOps) on testing segmentation, creative, and messaging strategies.

  • Pilot and integrate AI tools to enhance marketing analysis, campaign automation, and decision-making.

  • Support AI-driven initiatives, including LLM integration, lead scoring, attribution modeling, and custom agents.

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards in PowerBI and other tools to visualize key KPIs and business impact.

  • Consolidate performance data from systems like Snowflake, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and ad platforms.

  • Build and refine attribution models to measure marketing’s impact on pipeline and revenue generation.

  • Drive optimization through A/B testing, AI analysis, and iterative campaign refinements.

  • Ensure data integrity across marketing and CRM systems through regular audits, tagging, and platform troubleshooting.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in marketing analytics, RevOps, or marketing performance strategy, preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment.

  • Experience with multi-channel marketing and lifecycle campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media.

  • Experience testing or deploying large language models (LLMs), or custom AI agents in marketing applications.

  • Experience in regulated industries such as fintech and edtech.

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in SQL and tools like Looker, Power BI, Google Analytics, and HubSpot.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools for marketing (e.g., predictive models, GPT agents, audience segmentation, or content automation).

  • Strong ability to translate data into clear business insights and marketing decisions.

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with AI systems architecture and automation tools within a marketing or RevOps environment.

  • Certifications in analytics or AI-related platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, OpenAI, etc.).

  • Knowledge of lead scoring, account-based marketing (ABM), and lifecycle marketing.
