The Senior M365 Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Microsoft 365 environment, with a particular focus on Modern Workplace Applications. This role will build upon the foundational responsibilities of an M365 Engineer, with added emphasis on expertise in M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Automate, as well as the rest of the Modern Workplace applications. The Senior M365 Engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Copilot Agents and collaborate closely with other IT teams to drive innovation and efficiency.Responsibilities:
M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio:
Lead the deployment and management of M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
Provide expertise and guidance on the use of Copilot features to enhance productivity and collaboration.
Assist the company in its adoption and use of Microsoft Modern Workplace tools, leveraging frameworks such as the Modern Collaboration Architecture (MOCA) to drive digital culture change and improve collaboration, communication, and information management 1.
Implementation and Management:
Oversee the implementation and optimization of Modern Workplace Applications, such as Viva Engage and Copilot.
Deploy, configure, and manage M365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Defender, and OneDrive.
Automation:
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks using tools like PowerShell and Power Automate.
Design and implement workflows using Power Automate to integrate M365 Copilot Agents into external solutions and automate complex business processes.
Create and maintain automated solutions for repetitive tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in operations.
Collaborate with other IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions that enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure the M365 environment adheres to security policies and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and Information Governance teams to implement governance policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
Application and User Licensing:
Understand permissions, licensing, and security settings.
Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex issues related to M365 applications and services for end-users.
Act as an escalation point for M365-related incidents.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
Implement proactive monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
Documentation:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Microsoft 365 configurations, processes, and procedures.
Create training materials and conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.
Serve as a SME for Copilot Agents and provide guidance to other IT teams.
Proactive Learning:
Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and industry trends.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation within the M365 environment.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in M365 services, PowerShell scripting, and understanding of networking and security principles.
Expertise in M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Automate.
Experience with Microsoft Modern Workplace applications.
Experience:
Practical experience building Agents within Copilot Studio and Power Automate.
Significant experience in managing and optimizing Microsoft 365 environments, with a focus on Modern Workplace Applications.
Proven track record of managing and optimizing M365 environments at an enterprise level.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and applications.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a Microsoft 365 environment.
