About the Role:
We are seeking an accomplished Corporate Actions Specialist to help drive our Corporate Actions function. This is a position responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction for post-market event processing, ensuring operational excellence, robust risk management, and superior client outcomes. You will be instrumental in shaping our corporate actions capabilities, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across a diverse and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing oversight: Provide oversight for all aspects of corporate actions processing throughout the event lifecycle, including mandatory and voluntary events (e.g., stock splits, mergers, dividends, rights offerings, spin off’s, etc.). Ensure the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance are consistently met across all operations.
Leadership & Organisational Development: Help develop a high-performing team of corporate actions professionals, including managers and specialists. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. This includes strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and career development.
Key Stakeholder Engagement & Client Advocacy: Champion client interests, ensuring proactive communication of event details and impacts, and effectively resolving complex client issues.
Process Optimisation & Digital Transformation: Spearhead initiatives to significantly enhance and automate corporate actions processes, leveraging advanced technology solutions and embracing digital transformation. Drive the implementation of best-in-class operational models to improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and resilience.
Strategic Vendor & Partner Management: Manage and optimise relationships with strategic external vendors and service providers integral to corporate actions processing. Negotiate and oversee service level agreements, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
Market Intelligence & Regulatory Acumen: Maintain a good-level understanding of global corporate actions regulations, market practices, and emerging industry trends. Proactively anticipate and respond to changes, ensuring the firm's processes and systems remain compliant and competitive.
Performance Analytics & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insightful, high-level reporting and analysis on the overall performance of the Corporate Actions department, including volumes, efficiency metrics, risk exposures, and service quality. Utilise data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaborative relationships with senior leaders across trading, settlements, legal, compliance, finance, and other critical departments to ensure seamless end-to-end execution of corporate actions and alignment with broader organisational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience within the CFD product sector.
Proven experience in an Operations role, with very good understanding for Corporate Actions and post market event processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and insights from data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
Good understanding of programming languages and how they can be utilized.
Experience with MetaTrader 5, beneficial experience with TradingView.
Experience writing documentation for procedures or systems is required
Proficiency working with small to medium-sized sets of data in Microsoft Excel is beneficial
Proficiency working with issue-tracking and documentation suites such as JIRA/Confluence
