This role
This role is essential in establishing and maintaining efficient and compliant contracting activities that support business growth while managing customer, partner, distributor and vendor risks. You will be supporting regulatory and legal advisory, partnering closely with commercial, operations, and product teams to ensure risk mitigation and legal soundness in business transactions and products. This role is critical to driving business objectives through legally sound contracting practices.

Responsibilities- Lead the execution and ongoing management of regulatory-driven contracts in Mexico, ensuring alignment with applicable financial, consumer protection, and data privacy regulations.
- Draft, review, and maintain product-related contracts, including customer-facing agreements, product terms, and supporting documentation.
- Draft, review, and update general Terms and Conditions, ensuring they accurately reflect product functionality, regulatory requirements, and business practices.
- Conduct and support regulatory and legal analysis to assess risks and requirements, translating regulatory obligations into practical and compliant contractual solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Develop and support customer contracting frameworks for multiple distribution and go-to-market strategies, adapting terms to different channels, partners, and commercial models.
- Draft, review, and negotiate strategic commercial agreements, including vendor, partnership, and other key third-party arrangements, balancing legal risk, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.
- Support contract structuring discussions by providing practical legal input on execution feasibility, risk allocation, and scalability.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized contract templates, playbooks, policies, and best practices, with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and risk management.
- Collaborate closely with diverse internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with regulatory requirements, operational processes, and commercial goals.
- Support post-signature and post–go-live contract monitoring, helping ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory commitments, and agreed operational flows.
- Review Marketing, Communications, and Advertising materials from a legal and regulatory perspective, ensuring compliance with applicable consumer protection and financial regulations.
- Draft, review, and implement Terms and Conditions for promotions, campaigns, and commercial initiatives, ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements and internal approval processes.
Requirements- 3-4+ years of legal experience, with in-house experience.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance in financial services/fintech (for example, understanding of financial regulations or data privacy considerations in contracts).
- Background in commercial contracts.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and working closely with non-legal stakeholders.
- Practical understanding of Mexican corporate law, IP, and Financial Institution contracting frameworks.
- Proven ability to work in a matrix reporting structure and stakeholder management.
- Self-starter with excellent judgment, a builder’s mindset, and strong execution skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
