Public Relations Manager

As Adyen LATAM's PR Manager, you will lead all communications for Adyen across Latin America. You will help to shape how we tell our story to different stakeholders. Your objective will be to increase media coverage for us in the region, with a focus on ‘tier one’ results (national newspaper and sites, national TV and radio, as well as the best technology publications).

We want to be recognised as a leader and one of the most influential and important acquiring in LATAM right now. We hope this professional will be able to increase our visibility in the region through earned media (consumer, business, B2B, etc).

Our fast paced environment requires a motivated and independent self-starter, who is prepared to work independently across a wide variety of tasks. The role is ultimately responsible for all communications in line with the overall business objectives, goals, for Adyen LATAM. Ultimately, you should be able to expand our company’s digital footprint and brand awareness.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Define how PR ties directly to business outcomes in Brazil and Mexico (pipeline, merchant awareness, supporting Sales & Marketing campaigns)
  • Highlight thought leadership: shaping narratives around payments innovation, regulatory changes, and trends in LATAM
  • Crisis communications: prepare and execute response strategies for potential reputation risks in LATAM
  • Executive visibility: support regional leadership with media training, public speaking opportunities, and positioning in the market
  • Storytelling: translate complex financial technology concepts into compelling stories for press and stakeholders
  • Event amplification: coordinate PR angles for regional flagship events (Casa Adyen, VTEX Day, etc.) and leverage them for coverage
  • Measurement: establish KPIs (share of voice, sentiment analysis, media reach, tier-one placements) to track progress and report results
  • Partner with Sales, Partnerships, and Product teams to align PR with commercial priorities
  • Work closely with Global PR to ensure consistent narrative while tailoring for LATAM nuances
  • Collaborate with digital and content marketing to maximize reach of earned media across Adyen’s owned channels

 

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in PR or communications field
  • Portuguese and English on a professional level
  • Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Flexible and; tenacious: does what it takes to get things done, and ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Collaborative nature and team player, and a desire to work in an international environment
  • Ability to take initiative, think ahead, engage proactively and make great things happen
  • Strong project management skills
