Key Responsibilities
AI Governance & Technology Standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain frameworks, technical standards, and tools for AI/ML risk assessments (including AI Risk Impact Assessments (AIRA)) and ethical AI compliance.
- Ensure AI/ML solutions align with privacy laws, contractual obligations, and ethical governance principles.
- Oversee pre-launch and ongoing risk assessments for AI/ML systems, collaborating with product, engineering, and legal teams.
- Monitor global developments in AI regulation and standards (e.g., EU AI Act) and assess their impact on company practices.
PET Research, Development, and Integration
- Lead R&D efforts for PETs such as encryption, anonymization, differential privacy, and secure computation.
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate PETs into systems and workflows.
- Develop technical guidelines, roadmaps, and best practices for PET adoption across business units.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with governance, risk, legal, audit, and operational teams to align AI and PET standards with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the organization’s audit, compliance, and risk mitigation programs related to AI and PETs.
- Represent the company in external forums on AI governance and PET best practices.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay at the forefront of AI governance and PET trends, identifying opportunities for strategic innovation.
- Refine and enhance standards, frameworks, and practices in response to emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and business needs.
- Promote a culture of ethical and privacy-by-design practices through training, awareness, and collaboration.
Key Deliverables
- AI and PET Standards & Frameworks: Authoritative technical standards and policies.
- AI/ML Risk Impact Assessment Tools: Templates and workflows for consistent risk evaluation.
- PET Implementation Roadmaps: Plans for adoption and integration of PETs.
- Audit & Risk Reports: Documentation of compliance status, gaps, and actions.
- Metrics & Dashboards: Tools to monitor AI and PET compliance performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Privacy/Technology Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in privacy, AI governance, PETs, or technology risk/compliance.
- Expertise:
- Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, privacy-enhancing technologies, and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, APEC CBPR).
- Proven ability to set technical standards and lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience collaborating with regulators, auditors, and external standard-setters.
- Certifications (preferred): CIPT, AIGP, CIPP (any region), ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, or equivalent.
