Summary of what you'll do:
The IT Manager is instrumental in leading our Student Information System (SIS) Development Teams. You’ll use our core values to guide decisions and behaviors in order to elevate our culture within your team and across the organization. This includes defining quality, efficiency, and development best practices. In addition to having strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with other departments is important in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coaches, motivates, and professionally develops team members, helping to set and model desired quality techniques.
2. Builds strong relationships with IT, Product, and Operations leaders to seek feedback for continuous improvement.
3. Translates technical detail into business relevant language.
4. Sets clear team objectives and measurements, aligned with organizational goals, to evaluate the performance of team members and to utilize in compensation recommendations..
5. Promotes teamwork and cooperation within and across teams.
7. Implements lean solutions to improve team efficiency while maintaining effectiveness.
8. Assesses and improves team health.
9. Creates a culture that makes room for failure, learning, and continuous improvement.
10. Leads the hiring process for team members.
11. Contributes to strategic planning decisions such as budget and staffing plans.

Responsibilities Unique to this Specific IT Manager Position:

1. Responsible for product or initiative delivery, including quality, efficiency, and work timeliness.

2. Effectively communicates initiatives/product statuses, working with Product Owners and Team to address stakeholder issues/concerns.

3. Assists Agile teams in implementing designs for large-scale software projects.

4. Participates in discussions/design of current systems where our systems are today, where we want to take them in the future, and how we can best get there.

Salary range for this role is: $110,000-$120,000

Requirements:

EDUCATION:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum 3 years leadership experience, preferably in IT.

2. Experience mentoring and developing others and/or leading a significant change within a team.

7. Drive to deliver effective solutions/outcomes.
