Core Purpose

To lead the final-mile distribution of physical payment cards. You are responsible for ensuring that cards are delivered only to the verified cardholder, meeting both speed targets and strict banking regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure Chain of Custody: Oversee the secure transfer of cards from the central Hub to the delivery fleet; ensure zero "leakage" or lost inventory.

 

  • KYC/Compliance Management: Ensure delivery agents correctly perform identity verification (ID checks, biometric captures, or document collection) at the doorstep.

 

  • Activation Support: Monitor "Card-in-Hand" to "Activation" rates, ensuring the transition from delivery to digital use is seamless.

 

  • Fraud Mitigation: Investigate any reports of tampered envelopes or suspicious delivery patterns that could indicate internal or external card theft.

 

  • SLA Performance: Meet tight Turnaround Times (TAT)—often 24–48 hours for new or replacement cards.

 

  • Agent Training: Lead specialized training for "Brand Ambassadors" (drivers) on how to represent the Fintech brand and handle sensitive customer data.

 

  • Role Back (Reverse Logistics): Manage the high-security return of undelivered or rejected cards, ensuring they are destroyed or securely stored according to PCI-DSS standards.

 

Key Qualifications

Industry & Experience

  • Sector Experience: 3+ years in Fintech, Banking Operations, or high-value logistics.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with local banking regulations and Data Privacy Laws.
  • Security Mindset: Experience managing "Bank’s Card" shipments or high-security courier protocols.

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • KYC Tools: Proficiency in mobile apps used for identity verification and document scanning.
  • Inventory Auditing: Advanced Excel skills for daily reconciliation of thousands of unique card IDs.

 

Soft Skills (Behavioral)

  • Integrity: An impeccable record of ethics, as you are managing sensitive financial assets.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to spot a 0.1% discrepancy in card stock which could signal a security breach.
  • Crisis Management: Ability to act instantly if a delivery vehicle is compromised or a bulk shipment is lost.

 

Fintech-Specific KPIs

  • Successful KYC Rate: % of deliveries where ID verification was successfully completed and uploaded.
  • Card Loss Rate: Target = 0%. Any lost card is a major security incident.
  • Activation Lag: The time between "Delivered" status and the customer activating the card in the app.
  • Tamper Rate: Frequency of customers reporting damaged or opened packaging.
