This role


We are seeking a Junior Financial Operations Analyst responsible for supporting the daily execution of operational processes related to merchant payments. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy, control, and monitoring of financial information, working with sensitive data and structured processes in payjoy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and validate merchant payment data.
  • Maintain and update payment files, and configure daily batch processing.
  • Perform initial cash matching and transaction tagging.
  • Update internal trackers and banking information repositories.
  • Address payment-related inquiries from administrative teams.
  • Verify banking requirements for new administrators/merchants.
  • Record applicable merchant discount rates.
  • Configure unique batch numbers daily.
  • Update local repositories with banking information.
  • Execute manual processes with high accuracy and attention to detail.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to follow processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling internal inquiries.
  • Maintains high ethical standards and ensures the confidentiality of financial information.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and databases, particularly MySQL, is a plus.
