What’s the opportunity?


We are looking an Internal Audit Manager to lead the Internal Audit agenda for our Brazilian entities. You’ll work end to end on risk and control reviews, reporting directly to the VP of Internal Audit and having frequent interaction with the Country Manager and key Risk, Finance, and Compliance stakeholders. If you want to influence decisions in a highly regulated environment and work hands-on with innovative products, this role is for you.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the Internal Audit activities for Brazil, including planning, scoping, execution, and reporting based on a risk approach.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of internal control activities, interacting with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and perform control design and effectiveness assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement to strengthen the internal control environment.
  • Supervise and contribute to the preparation of control and process documentation, updates, and control rationalization.
  • Provide guidance on relevant internal control matters, including control design and documentation requirements.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and report control deficiencies, including coordinating with management to ensure timely remediation of deficiencies.
  • Liaison with the External Auditor.
  • Build effective working relationships and trust with business partners across the organization.


What skills do you need?
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in an audit role in a Big Four, financial institutions.
  • Experience in the fintech and payments industry is a plus.
  • Vast experience in BACEN regulations, and attendance of external audits from the authority.
  • SOX and Corporate Governance experience are required.
  • Knowledge of risk, controls, and internal audit standards and/or frameworks is required.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish will be considered a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence change and effectively lead projects, collect/analyze data, and develop/communicate recommendations.
  • Knowledge of world-class GRC, AI and data tools is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Accounting is required. CPA and/or CIA certifications, Master's/MBA degrees, and knowledge related to Compliance functions are a plus.
