Role Overview

The Growth Partner is a relationship-first role built around helping merchants thrive after they've entered OPF's ecosystem. You are the ongoing point of contact for a portfolio of merchants — conducting monthly check-ins, guiding them through our digital presence tools, and helping them understand how to put their best foot forward online. You do not need prior account management experience. You do need to be organized, genuinely curious about small businesses, and passionate about helping people grow.

This is a structured, relationship-driven role. You will be trained on our engagement playbooks, tool walkthroughs, and communication frameworks — everything you need to become a trusted advisor to your merchants.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct monthly outbound check-ins with your assigned portfolio of merchants to review progress and maintain engagement
  • Guide merchants through the setup and use of OPF's digital presence and growth tools, ensuring they are fully activated and understood
  • Discuss strategies to strengthen a merchant's online presence, including content and social media post recommendations (note: you will advise, not manage their profiles)
  • Review each merchant's Business Health Score during calls and provide clear, actionable coaching on improvement areas
  • Identify merchants who may be at risk of disengaging and flag them for the Health Partner team to support retention
  • Log all merchant interactions, outcomes, and follow-up actions accurately in the system
  • Stay current on OPF's tool features and best practices to confidently advise merchants
  • Support the Growth team with additional tasks related to merchant experience and engagement

What We're Looking For

Required experience:

  • Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish — both written and verbal
  • Strong communicator who builds rapport quickly and explains concepts clearly
  • Organized and reliable — you manage a recurring portfolio and your merchants count on you
  • Comfortable working from structured playbooks and engagement frameworks
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in customer success, account management, or client-facing roles
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing concepts
  • Business Administration or related degree

Personality & Work Style:

  • Warm, proactive, and genuinely invested in your merchants' success
  • Detail-oriented — you follow through on commitments and keep accurate records
  • Positive, team-first attitude
  • Comfortable with a consistent, recurring workflow across a large portfolio
  • Curious about small business and motivated by seeing others win

What You'll Be Trained On

No prior account management experience is required — we teach everything. You will receive full training on:

  • How to conduct structured monthly merchant check-ins using our call playbooks
  • How to walk merchants through tool setup and activation step by step
  • How to review a merchant's Business Health Score and translate it into practical coaching
  • How to deliver effective online presence recommendations, including social media post ideas
  • How to identify at-risk merchants and escalate appropriately to the Health Partner team
  • Call pacing, rapport-building, and conversation control across long-term relationships
  • Private medical insurance plan
  • Law benefits
  • Perfect attendance bonus
  • Growth opportunity within the company
  • Fun, collaborative work environment
