POSITION OBJECTIVE
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations and management of the new restaurant. This includes making key decisions regarding staffing, service, customer experience, and financial performance. You will oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to the highest quality standards, and create an environment where the team can thrive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service levels and a memorable guest experience.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement effective business strategies and operational plans that align with the Restaurants mission and objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and enhance the dining experience.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and community partners.
- Continuously monitor performance metrics and recruit strategies for improvement.
- Drive marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
- Support menu development in collaboration with culinary teams to ensure offerings align with market trends and customer preferences.
Immediate Focus
- Successfully launch the restaurant within budget and on schedule.
- Recruit and onboard a star team of culinary and front-of-house staff.
- Develop operational procedures to facilitate smooth service from day one.
- Establish community engagement and marketing strategies to attract initial guests.
- Create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that reflects our values and enhances the customer experience.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar managerial role in the restaurant or hospitality industry. Turkish or Mediterranean Cuisine is preferred.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage, service standards, and financial management.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing staff.
- Track record of successfully launching a restaurant or managing new concepts in a competitive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset, with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and service excellence.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in restaurant operations, including at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Previous Experience growing beyond 1 outlet.
- Experience in Delivery and Catering to large orders
- Experience with restaurant management systems (POS, inventory management, etc.) is a must.
