POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and general maintenance in the private family homes, construction, and renovation projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that existing buildings are running smoothly, and that building systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The MEP Manager acts as a key liaison between the Private Family EA, and any contractors or project stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Home Maintenance: Be point of contact for, and provide solutions for all maintenance needs, problems, and any renovation or upgrade requests.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues, design conflicts, or on-site problems related to MEP systems that arise during construction.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage MEP project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Design and Engineering Review: Review and approve MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure they comply with local and international building codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Contractor and Vendor Management: Select, negotiate with, and manage MEP subcontractors and vendors. Monitor their performance to ensure timely and high-quality completion of work.
  • On-site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to approved plans and safety protocols.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all MEP installations. Ensure all materials and equipment meet specified standards and are properly installed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project records, including submittals, progress reports, and close-out documentation. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and key milestones.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in a project management or leadership role focused on MEP systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP design principles, building codes, safety regulations, and construction processes.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and project management tools.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams and liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges on site.
