About the role:

Wellfit Technologies is seeking an experienced Finance Marketplace (FMP) Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and modern back-end systems that power our Finance Marketplace platform. This role is central to shaping the technical strategy for FMP, with a strong emphasis on C#, .NET, and scalable architectural patterns. The FMP Architect will collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to drive integrations, scalability, and innovation across the marketplace.

This is a critical leadership role requiring not just deep technical expertise, but also the ability to rally teams, communicate effectively, and help Wellfit evolve toward a best-in-class, modern microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Architect scalable, secure, and performant back-end systems to support the Finance Marketplace platform.

• Lead architectural strategy, balancing the hybrid environment of monolithic and microservices systems while charting a path toward a modern, service-oriented architecture.

• Ensure system scalability to handle large volumes of transactions, integrations, and marketplace growth.

Integrations

• Design and oversee integrations with external lenders, financial partners, and healthcare stakeholders.

• Lead the technical design for onboarding new partners and scaling integrations efficiently.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.

• Champion best practices in software engineering, design patterns, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate across product, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align technical strategy with business goals.

• Exhibit strong gravitas to bring teams together, foster collaboration, and drive delivery without excessive bureaucracy.

Innovation & Growth

• Identify opportunities to refactor existing systems for improved scalability, modularity, and performance.

• Incorporate modern engineering practices (microservices, Azure, containerization, CI/CD) into FMP’s architecture.

• Partner with AI and analytics teams to introduce intelligent features, such as customer offer matching, risk scoring, and predictive analytics.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

• 8+ years of software development, with 4+ years in back-end architecture or systems design.

• Proven experience in architecting and scaling transaction-heavy systems.

• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, and SQL, with a deep understanding of enterprise system design.

• Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Background in designing secure, scalable integrations with external systems or third-party platforms.

• Experience guiding teams through hybrid architectures (monolithic + microservices) and evolving toward modern, scalable systems.

Leadership & Skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire engineering teams.

• Strong communicator with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Practical, outcome-focused mindset: able to drive forward without being bogged down by bureaucracy.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of designing robust, scalable systems.

Preferred:

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or healthcare platforms.

• Familiarity with lender integrations and transaction workflows.

• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product features and analytics.
