As part of our ongoing growth, we’re strengthening our Collections Team to boost recovery rates and reduce delinquency. We’re looking for a hardworking, reliable, and hands-on Field & Collections Officer to join us.
The Field & Collections Officer will manage accounts with overdue balances through a combination of field activities and office / desktop investigations. This includes meeting customers in person, negotiating payment settlements, locating hard-to-find debtors, serving legal documents such as Notices of Demand (NOD), and making outbound calls. The Officer will work closely with the Collections and Legal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of accounts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to meet customers with overdue accounts.
- Locate delinquent customers through fieldwork, information gathering, and use of skip tracing tools, databases, and social media.
- Negotiate and secure payment plans on-site or over the phone.
- Serve demand letters and other legal notices as needed.
- Document field activities and submit reports promptly to the Collections team.
- Coordinate with Legal for escalations and case preparation when necessary.
- Must own and operate a motorcycle with a valid driver’s license.
- Proven collections experience, preferably with skip tracing exposure.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Familiarity with local geography and routes.
- Basic computer literacy for online research and reporting.
