Perform duties to ensure Nelnet owned and leased facilities are properly maintained and equipped to provide a workplace that is healthy, safe, pleasing, and promotes efficiency.
Reports to Facilities Supervisor.

Included but not be limited to:

  • Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and diagnose potential problems
  • Install, move, or reconfigured panel system furniture or other items related to an office space or building
  • Directly or through respective vendors, maintain and repair owned and leased equipment, including but not limited to copiers, furniture, and fixtures
  • Submit, maintain and close work orders
  • Stock and keep clean breakrooms, bathrooms, and office spaces
  • Assist in Facilities preparation for company functions and social events
  • Complete miscellaneous projects or tasks as assigned

**Pay Range for this role is- $24-$26/hr

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance, repairs, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and organization skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to follow through on assignments within corporate standards.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic problem-solving ability.
  • Computer skills to include PC proficiency (Windows environment), MS Office Suite.
  • Opportunities for cross-training and career growth within the Facilities department.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing duties.

Physical Activities/Working Conditions:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation.
  • Traveling to properties within and outside of Lincoln could be required.
  • May be required to work overtime based on business needs.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50lbs independently.
  • Must be capable of team lifting 51-100lbs.
  • Regular use of hand and power tools may be required.
  • Work may involve long periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching overhead, and carrying items across distances.
