The Role

We’re looking for a Debt Recovery & Collections Manager to design, lead, and optimize Debt Recovery function within Customer Operations.
In this role, you’ll build processes, tools, and strategies that ensure the timely and compliant management of overdue receivables, driving operational excellence and sustainable results.

You’ll lead a small team of Debt Recovery Officers, collaborate closely with Finance, Product, and Risk teams, and use AI-powered analytics to enhance recovery efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and evaluate the work, performance, and case-handling responsibilities of Debt Recovery Case Officers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure integrated and consistent handling of recovery cases.
• Analyse transactional and exposure data to identify patterns, risks, and performance trends across portfolios.
• Create and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators such as recovery rates, aging of debt, and resolution times.
• Identify root causes of payment delays and recommend preventive improvements to billing, product setup, or collection workflows.
• Ensure full compliance with the Bank of Greece regulatory framework, GDPR, and internal policies and control standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, and Risk teams to define restructuring solutions and offset mechanisms for overdue exposures.
• Prepare, review, and present reports and insights to Customer Operations senior management, ensuring visibility of portfolio performance and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-enabled analytics and monitoring tools to enhance recovery strategy, prioritisation, and operational outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in debt recovery, collections, or credit operations, preferably within banking or fintech.
• Proven ability to lead teams and supervise case-handling or paralegal staff.
• Strong knowledge of EU and Greek regulatory frameworks, including Bank of Greece directives, GDPR, and consumer protection.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with experience in Excel, BI tools, or CRM systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in process design, portfolio analysis, and performance management.
• Experience with AI-assisted dashboards, data-driven recovery strategies, or predictive analytics is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Greek or another EU language is an advantage.
