The Role
YouLend is looking to hire a Credit Decisions Analyst. As a Credit Decisions analyst, you will play a vital part in our lending pipeline at YouLend, assessing the profile of each merchant that applies for business funding to determine at what level we should offer them business funding.
This includes assessing their revenue levels, their consumer and commercial credit profiles, their online presence and risk portfolio and banking documentation along with completing KYC checks. You will utilise this information to decision the size, duration and pricing of each funding offer you make.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining control over a queue of un-decisioned deals, ensuring to work within business SLAs
- Working on a team level with fellow decisioners to ensure daily KPIs are achieved and no merchant is left waiting for an outcome
- Adherence to risk guidance and YouLends minimum lending requirements (full training provided)
- Utilising commercial acumen to adjust your lending decision based on both partner and merchant profile.
- Analysing merchant business bank statements, payment data, and revenue levels to make an affordability assessment.
- Reviewing credit reports, CIFAS flags, PEP sanctions – to understand how these would impact your lending decision.
- Pricing merchant funding applications in line with the information reviewed and the risk guidance given.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to help streamline operational workflows and allow us to make better quality decisions, quicker.
The ideal candidate will have the following skillset:
- Have 1-2 years experience in a similar role, such as underwriting, credit control or KYC.
- Have excellent attention to detail and be confident working with numbers and data.
- Be confident in your ability to analyse data and conclude and present outcomes
- Strong use of excel or any data analysis software
- Be highly organised and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure
- Passionate and customer focussed
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (+ 5% performance-based quarterly bonus)
