Job Description
Your Opportunity
We’re looking for a Continuous Assurance Engineer to join our Cloud, Data & Infrastructure team.
In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users.
You’ll also make an impact by:
Support the design and testing of controls in accordance with defined manual control processes.
Design, implement, support, integrate, enhance and maintain automated testing of controls.
Manage, maintain, support, and enhance continuous assurance technology, platforms, and processes.
Provide second level support and liaise with vendors for resolution of problems.
Ensure that automated controls testing and processes comply with any regulatory requirements and are to a standard acceptable to external auditors.
Educate, guide and facilitate adoption of continuous assurance technology standards and procedures, and enable governance of their adherence.
Implement appropriate tools for continuous assurance technology in accordance with AWG and ARB processes and standards.
Maintain, operate, and support continuous assurance technology and capability (“Technology”) to the required currency, availability, and capacity standards.
Collaborate with other relevant teams to ensure alignment, fit-for-purpose solutions, and smooth delivery of automated controls testing.
Design, create and refine dashboards and relevant reporting as required.
Available for scheduled after hour, on-call or roster when required.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
Experience managing, maintaining, and enhancing technology systems, platforms and processes.
Experience in an enterprise heterogeneous environment, preferably with highly available IT services to a medium to large customer base; including real time or mission critical environments.
Experience in ITIL processes for one or more of Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation and Continual Service Improvements desirable.
Ability to document end-to-end process designs for optimal controls testing automation. Ensuring all systems are documented and this documentation is maintained throughout a systems lifecycle.
Proven record in the provision of specialist advice and in the interpretation of industry knowledge to provide solutions and deliver outcomes.
Strong and deep technical understanding of scripting capabilities including at least one of PowerShell, automation technologies, Terraform, AWS, Azure. Understanding of coding principles with the ability to code from scratch.
Broad technology knowledge of serverless and multi-tiered architecture solutions.
Understanding of firewalls, segmentation and base operating systems.
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
Experience in supporting financial industry systems.
Experience in cloud and automation, in particular Public and Private Cloud environments, preferably AWS or Azure.
Exposure to implementing “as a Service” (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) whether on-premise or cloud.
Experience in PCI compliance audits.
Broad understanding of CPS230, CPS234, CPG235 and other prudential standards.
