The Collections Manager will develop and manage the bank’s collection program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is critical in minimizing delinquency rates and optimizing recovery strategies.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to control or minimize delinquency and charge-offs.

  • Monitor collection activities to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FDCPA and UDAAP.

  • Analyze portfolio trends and prepare reports for senior management on collection performance and key risk indicators.

  • Collaborate with credit, risk, collection service providers and legal teams to resolve complex accounts and mitigate losses.

  • Utilize technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness of collection processes.

**Pay Range for this role is - $100,000 - $105,000

Additional Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of experience in collections management in an FDIC or OCC regulated bank; private student lending experience strongly preferred

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with advanced recovery strategies and legal processes

  • Proven analytical expertise

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • At least intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
