The Business Process Analyst is responsible for examining, documenting, and optimizing business processes across the organization. This role involves leveraging expertise in process improvement methodologies, conducting cost-benefit analyses of tools with high ROI potential, and effectively presenting findings to stakeholders. Utilization of AI technologies and automation tools is key to enhancing operational efficiencies.

This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. Our hybrid work environment allows associates living within 30 miles of an office location to work remotely for part of the week, while also fostering collaboration and team connection through in-office presence three days per week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct detailed business process analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and challenges.
  • Document current business processes and propose enhancements, utilizing tools like process mapping and workflow analysis.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for process improvement, conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify investments.
  • Recommend where AI solutions and automation tools can optimize workflows and reduce operational costs, measuring ROI and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training sessions for employees on new processes and systems to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in process improvement methodologies, AI trends, and automation technologies to drive continuous improvement.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may substitute).

EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of experience as a Business Process Analyst or similar role.

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient with process mapping and workflow analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of AI applications and automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with change management and lean process principles, data-driven methodologies, and tools preferred.


Preferred Certifications
Certifications such as CBPP, CBAP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMI-PBA, or Lean Certification are considered a plus. While not required, they demonstrate added expertise in process analysis, improvement methodologies, and stakeholder engagement.

Pay range is $75,000.00-$90,000.00 annually, depending on experience.
