Role Description:

As an ACH Processing Assistant Manager, you will oversee and support ACH processors, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of ACH and check requests, returns, and exception items. You will manage staffing, train new team members, and troubleshoot system and client issues. Additionally, you will assist with the development of ACHand check-related procedures, testing new services, and ensuring compliance during audits and risk assessments.

In this role you will:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for team members, processors, and clients on ACH and check-related matters
  • Troubleshoot complex ACH and check-related system issues and client concerns
  • Respond to complex research requests from branches and clients
  • Support the team with daily payment processing tasks as needed
  • Ensure completion of daily ACH and check-related tasks and communications
  • Review and assist with the preparation of daily and monthly reports
  • Test and support implementation of new ACH and check-related products and services
  • Collaborate with the PaymentOps Training and Implementation Specialist to:
  • Create and coordinate regular team trainings
  • Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures
  • Assist with audit preparations and departmental risk assessments
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new ACH processors
  • Foster development of current ACH processors through coaching and training
  • Manage team scheduling and monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to bank standards
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and complete performance reviews for ACH processors
  • Schedule and lead team meetings to communicate updates and important information
  • Perform other payment processing duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Have at least 3-5 years of ACH processing experience required
  • AAP, APRP certifications highly preferred. 
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of payments (rules/formatting) with supporting experience, preferred

*Hours: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift between 9:00am and 6:00pm CST based on the bank's needs.*
