This role


The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible to lead Accounts Payable (AP) operations across Spanish-speaking countries and manage the global Travel & Expense (T&E) process,  ensuring compliance with financial policies, supporting business operations, and drives performance from our external shared services provider (based in the Philippines).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end AP process execution performed by the shared services team.
  • Prioritize and manage workload distribution in collaboration with shared services leadership.
  • Review and approve AP exceptions, escalations, and blocked invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and P2P policies.
  • Support monthly close processes and coordinate with Controllership and Treasury.
  • Act as global owner of the T&E policy and process, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Oversee expense report audit results and exceptions handled by the shared services.
  • Manage Coupa T&E module configurations and business process improvements.
  • Administer Brex corporate card program: user assignment, transaction policy, and reporting.
  • Lead employee and manager enablement sessions on T&E and corporate card best practices.
  • Monitor T&E trends, drive compliance, and support budget control initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex AP or T&E inquiries from vendors or employees.
  • Coordinate with Shared services, Procurement, Legal, or HR to resolve systemic issues.
  • Track and analyze issue patterns to recommend process improvements.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance operations, managing or owning global T&E processes, shared services or BPO delivery models.
  • Strong working knowledge of Coupa T&E module (Must).
  • Experience managing Brex or equivalent corporate card platform (Must).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
