The Accounting Analyst is a core member of the accounting and finance team, combining transactional accounting responsibilities with analytical depth. This role supports financial close processes, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, while contributing to financial transparency and data integrity. The Accounting Analyst serves as a bridge between day-to-day accounting operations and insight generation, helping ensure that financial results are not only accurate but also understood. This position partners closely with Accounting, FP&A, and departmental leaders to support business performance through accurate, insightful financial support and compliance with internal controls.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with GAAP.

  • Perform reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts such as deferred revenue, accruals, and prepaid expenses.

  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Analyze variances in revenue and expenses and communicate findings to Accounting and FP&A teams.

  • Assist in execution and testing of internal controls to ensure SOX or audit compliance as required.

  • Provide audit support through documentation gathering, reconciliations, and responding to external auditor inquiries.

  • Support the build and maintenance of financial reports, schedules, and analysis tools to improve visibility.

  • Work with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) and data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI) to extract and validate financial data.

  • Identify and support process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy across accounting workflows.

Salary range for this role is: $48,000-$58,000 depending on experience

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and financial close activities.

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including power query for analysis.

  • Exposure to financial data platforms and reporting tools like Power BI or Snowflake is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.

  • Collaboration: Partners effectively with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Operations, and Audit.
