The Data Operations division is seeking a Team Leader to drive a new strategic Infrastructure Deals initiative. This team will initially focus on capturing deal activity across infrastructure markets and the entities involved, with potential to expand to other datasets, including private equity deals and additional infrastructure segments.

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of deal data sourced through news aggregation and proprietary information sources. You will manage a team of researchers to ensure With Intelligence maintains market-leading coverage of infrastructure deals and related datasets.

Reporting to the Head of Research & Data Operations (Sofia), you will collaborate with stakeholders across the data office on this business-critical initiative. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of handling immediate tasks while keeping a broader perspective on strategic goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data researchers, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team performance, including recruitment, training, engagement, and development.
  • Ensure accurate and timely capture of infrastructure transaction data across markets, adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Develop and refine data collection methodologies and workflows in collaboration with global stakeholders.
  • Deliver on strategic goals and KPIs related to data coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and report team productivity and data quality.
  • Communicate effectively with strategic stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data research, infrastructure, private equity, investment research, or financial services.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a fast-paced, deadline-driven workflow.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with data systems is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous exposure to secondary research or data curation from unstructured sources.
  • At least 1 year of proven leadership or team management experience.
  • Experience working in cross-functional or remote teams.
  • Knowledge of or interest in financial markets, infrastructure, real estate and private equity investment strategies, or M&A processes.
