About Team
We are a cross-functional, international Credit Risk team shaping responsible lending strategies across diverse markets.
We combine data, technology, and commercial insight to deliver sustainable portfolio growth while protecting our customers and business.
This role is based in Poland (Warsaw), with responsibility for initiatives across all IPF Digital operations and markets.
Here’s how you’ll put your skills into action:
Credit Risk Strategy & Frameworks: Design and continuously evolve credit risk policies, scorecards, and underwriting frameworks that enable sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining strong risk control.
Portfolio Performance & Risk Appetite: Define and monitor risk appetite metrics, ensuring the right balance between growth, profitability, and acceptable risk exposure across short-term lending products.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Translate complex portfolio data into clear insights, identifying emerging risks, root causes, and actionable opportunities to improve underwriting and collections strategies.
Risk-Adjusted Pricing & Commercial Alignment: Partner with Product and Marketing to ensure pricing strategies accurately reflect risk, driving optimal risk-adjusted returns.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership: Collaborate across product, analytics, finance, collections, and operations teams to embed risk thinking throughout the customer lifecycle and influence key business decisions.
Risk Governance, Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards, delivering clear, timely reporting to senior stakeholders and risk committees.
Communication and language skills: Communicate confidently and clearly in both Polish and English, adapting your language and style to suit diverse audiences. You’ll facilitate collaboration across international teams, ensuring shared understanding and smooth delivery across markets.
We also know that experience counts – and we believe that the following can support your success:
Extensive experience in credit risk management within short-term lending (e.g., payday or microloans), with a strong track record of building and implementing risk strategies or frameworks.
Advanced analytical capability, including hands-on experience with data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS, R) and credit modelling techniques.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex risk insights into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
Our hiring approach
As part of our skills-first recruitment process, you will be asked to complete a practical work challenge. This gives you a chance to showcase your skills, your way of thinking, and your problem-solving approach – beyond what’s on a CV.
In the next steps, we’ll focus on getting to know you better through conversations around culture fit and soft skills, to ensure we’re a great match for each other.
What can we offer you?
Real opportunities for growth – enjoy access to a variety of internal learning and external development initiatives.
A fully free mental health platform with access to certified professionals: psychologists (including child psychologists), dietitians, business coaches, and physiotherapists.
