We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help YouLend make better decisions, faster – by structuring, curating, and presenting all our data on a single company-wide platform.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our data ecosystem. You’ll design and build reliable, scalable data models in Snowflake using SQL and dbt, ensuring our teams have access to trustworthy and well-documented data. You’ll also partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality data products and visualisations.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll take ownership of core datasets, mentor junior Analytics Engineers, and drive best practices in analytics engineering.
- Design, build, and maintain robust data models in dbt and Snowflake.
- Ensure datasets are well-documented, tested, and trusted by stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and Engineers to deliver data solutions that drive decision-making.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Champion best practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD for analytics engineering.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and upskilling within the team.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality, scalability, and efficiency.
Essential Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with dbt.
- Solid experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
- Experience building dashboards and reports in modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Metabase).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks).
- 4+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering, with at least 1–2 years at a senior/lead level.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
