About the Role:
We’re looking for a Regional Payments Manager who will drive new onboarding payment solutions and contribute to the success of the Africa region. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with key clients, work together with global stakeholders and ensure effective regional goals are achieved.
- Onboarding Payment Solutions: Identify, evaluate, and integrate new payment systems and solutions tailored to the African market, ensuring they align with the company’s goals and client needs.
- Functionality Oversight: Monitor the operation of all onboarded payment solutions to ensure they work efficiently and resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Payment Tracking: Maintain and track accurate records of all payment transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze payment data regularly to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for process improvement, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure that all payment processing procedures meet relevant legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards in Africa.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (including finance, compliance, and tech) and external payment partners to streamline payment processes, troubleshoot problems, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment vendors and ensure effective contract negotiations, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor performance monitoring.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve and streamline payment workflows and processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential payment risks, ensuring secure and efficient payment processing systems.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of new payment solutions, ensuring all systems are fully functional before launch.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for all payment processes, systems, and vendor contracts.
- Cross-functional Training: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on payment system updates, new processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payment processing within the financial services industry such as CFD, Derivative, Crypto, forex
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with payment regulations and compliance requirements specific to African markets is a must.
