About the Role
Partnership Development & Event Lead is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of high-impact events and sponsorship programs that elevate brand presence, drive audience engagement, and support business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, creativity, and proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and partnership goals
- Skilled in identifying new business opportunities, building partner ecosystems, and executing go-to-market strategies
- Experience crafting and pitching high-impact proposals and partnership decks tailored to various partner segments
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform partnership and event strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, both external and internal.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience securing sponsorships, co-branding agreements, or strategic alliances.
- Ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders, brands, and institutional partners with professionalism and clarity.
- Develop and lead the annual event strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
- Plan and execute flagship events, roadshows, activations, and community engagements.
- Oversee end-to-end event lifecycle: concepting, budgeting, vendor management, production, and post-event evaluation.
- Ensure seamless event operations with attention to experience, logistics, safety, and brand identity.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure sponsorship opportunities that align with brand values and audience targets.
- Build sponsorship pitch decks and negotiate partnership terms with potential sponsors or event organizers.
- Manage relationships with sponsors and ensure fulfillment of all contractual obligations and branding placements.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, PR, and Content teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns.
- Lead internal event committees and coordinate cross-department involvement.
- Manage agencies, freelancers, and event vendors to deliver excellence and efficiency.
- Manage event and sponsorship budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI optimization.
- Monitor performance metrics such as footfall, engagement rate, leads captured, and brand exposure.
- Produce post-event and sponsorship impact reports for internal stakeholders.
- Act as a brand ambassador in all external-facing events and partnerships.
- Build strong community ties through curated experiences that resonate with target audiences.
- Stay current on industry trends and apply best practices in experiential marketing and sponsorship activation.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in event management and sponsorship, preferably in a brand or agency setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in event/project management tools and reporting (e.g., Asana, Trello, Excel, etc.).
