We are looking for a Partnerships Assistant Manager to add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities for the team in Singapore and Malaysia. This role is meant to drive our payments volume, through raising brand awareness and acquiring new customers through partnerships, eventually contributing to the growth of our revenue.

You will be an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong communication skills, with a proven track record in sourcing, pitching, negotiating and executing partnerships. Keeping abreast of trends and market conditions to create new partnerships, while deepening existing partnerships to drive revenue outcomes. Partners range across large corporations like financial institutions, to tech companies and SMEs.

What you will do:

  • Build and improve our current partnership models with various companies, developing a plan to acquire partners in key target segments
  • Develop and pitch partnership proposals based on detailed understanding of partner’s needs, working closely with internal stakeholders like product, marketing, compliance and operations to ensure feasibility
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts to close partnership deals
  • Own and project manage the end-to-end partnership process with partners and internal stakeholders to bring initiatives to life, creating tangible uplift in our business core metrics
  • Design joint go-to-market plans with partners including marketing launch and comms, run training sessions to empower partners’ sales teams to effectively articulate our product value proposition and solution to their end-customers, organise joint events, etc
  • Build and deepen existing partner relations and optimise partner performance to grow revenue
  • Evaluate partner performance against forecasts to prioritise partners, resources and support needed to drive revenue growth
  • Strengthen our product - collate and research on key product feedback, competitor features, providing us a strong detailed view on CardUp in the landscape and provide recommendations on new products/features
  • Attend networking events and workshops and generate leads and prospects to follow up with

  • Minimum 3 years of partnerships, business development or strategic alliances experience in hunting and managing partnerships in Fintechs/banks or cards and payments
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset – always looking for business opportunities
  • Ability to identify and evaluate partnership opportunities aligned with business goals
  • Strong project management skills and very detail oriented
  • Proven track record of seeing through the execution of complex projects through to launch
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Data driven with experience in performing analysis of partner performance, gathering insights for improvements
  • Team player - no politics!
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities, comfortable with contracts and deal structuring

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of partnership pipelines
