One third of the UK working age population are unable to access affordable credit. We at Amplifi want to rectify this issue. We aim to improve the nation’s financial health, using our state-of-the-art FinTech ecosystem, allowing ethical lending via the credit unions we work with.
Amplifi Capital is one of the top 5 lenders in the near prime unsecured personal loans market in the UK. Through our innovative work we have grown our new customer volumes by 5-fold in just the last two years alone and we aim to increase that number even further as we progress.
We are a credit broker for the two largest Credit Unions in the UK and want to go beyond that. Our aim is to be the most important player in the UK personal loan market for the near prime segment through our work with the Credit Unions and via Reevo Money (our own brand). Our plans also include the introduction of a new Reevo credit card soon and in the longer term, other retail financial products

The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the role of Legal Counsel (6-months FTC) – Commercial & Funding, will form part of the existing Legal and Compliance framework. The ideal candidate will have significant legal experience with a strong understanding of commercial contracts, particularly in the fintech and payments space, but also capital markets, funding, debt sale and securitisation. You’ll be providing support for a wide range of legal matters, from commercial contracts to funding and governance, and be encouraged to step into new areas with curiosity and confidence.
The role will require the ability and desire to handle a variety of legal tasks, including corporate work and. some knowledge of data privacy and financial services regulation is desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with the other lawyer in the business, who is a consumer credit and retail financial services regulatory specialist.
