Kuda is a money app for Africans on a mission to make financial services accessible, affordable and rewarding for every African on the planet.
We’re a tribe of passionate and diverse people who dreamed of building an inclusive money app that Africans would love so it’s only right that we ended up with the name ‘Kuda’ which means ‘love’ in Shona, a language spoken in the southern part of Africa.
We’re giving Africans around the world a better alternative to traditional finance by delivering money transfers, smart budgeting and instant access to credit through digital devices.
We’ve raised over $90 million from some of the world's most respected institutional investors, and we’re rolling out our game-changing services globally from our offices in Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK.

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Product Manager to lead the Everyday Banking squad at Kuda. This squad owns the central experience of the Kuda app; how customers navigate, understand their money, complete essential tasks, and interact with Kuda every day.

You will set the vision, drive the roadmap, and line-manage Product Managers while partnering with Design, Engineering, Research, Analytics, and Marketing to deliver a simple, reliable, and intuitive core banking experience for millions of customers.

This is a senior leadership role sitting at the heart of the Retail Tribe.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the Everyday Banking roadmap, ensuring alignment with Kuda’s OKRs and setting a clear, compelling vision for the squad.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, engineers, designers, and analysts, fostering strong collaboration and high-quality execution.
  • Own, understand, and optimise core everyday banking metrics, using these to guide the roadmap, identify issues, and communicate performance to senior leadership.
  • Shape the evolution of Kuda’s core app experience by shaping the everyday moments at the heart of the product so customers can move through the app effortlessly, understand their money instantly, and handle key banking moments with ease.
  • Discover, develop, and improve end-to-end everyday banking journeys through thoughtful research, experimentation, and user-centred design.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage product requirements, ensuring operational excellence and alignment across squads and platform teams.
  • Design, run, and interpret experiments that validate assumptions, improve clarity and usability, and drive continuous improvements across the everyday experience.
  • Build iterative improvements using data, qualitative insights, and behavioural understanding, defining clear methods and metrics for evaluating outcomes.
  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and resources across mobile, backend, web, analytics, and design to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Deliver meaningful improvements to the everyday banking experience and validate them continuously with customers.

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with responsibility for core app surfaces, navigation, transactional flows, or financial journeys.
  • Experience managing or mentoring Product Managers, with the ability to guide their growth and support strong product thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using data dashboards to define KPIs, diagnose issues, and measure impact.
  • Proven ability to design, run, and learn from experiments, and to translate insights into product decisions.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality product improvements in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX and customer behaviour in fast-moving or emerging markets.
  • Clear communicator able to influence stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, digital banking, or payments.
  • Familiarity with African markets and financial ecosystems.
  • Understanding of payments, ledgering, or core banking systems.
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks, feature-flag-driven development, or experimentation platforms.
  • Passion for building simple, reliable financial experiences that customers depend on.
