About The Role
The Training Specialist develops and delivers training programs to improve employee performance and support company goals. They design training materials, conduct onboarding and refresher sessions, and focus on areas like insurance sales and portal use. The role involves delivering engaging sessions through various methods and fostering a positive learning environment. Additionally, the Training Specialist works with the Training Manager to assess training needs, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Design quality insurance sales training and other training programs related to improve insurance sales, within budget limitations
- Schedule individual and team training plans on a regular basis
- Evaluate strengths and weaknesses to identify training needs
- Create an open-communication climate and gather team members’ preferences for potential training
- Oversee training material and suggest improvements
- Choose the most appropriate training method per case (e.g. on-the-job training, seminars and simulations, webinars, video trainings, interactive online trainings, etc.)
- Design onboarding session for newly hired Product and Insurance Specialists
- Delivers an exceptional training experience on insurance products and portal use to partners in the form of webinars and evaluates effectiveness of training activities
- Work across Implementations, Account Management and Support to manage incoming requests for training
- Create a positive, professional, and open learning environment the promotes engagement
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training record
- Report on training program effectiveness
- Stay up-to-date with insurance sales development trends
- 2 years of experience as a Sales Training Specialist in the insurance industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Behavioral/Social Science, Mass Communication, Psychology, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques.
- Ability to manage the full training cycle, from design to delivery and evaluation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong understanding of the sales process, with customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and platform presentation skills, with strong organizational and team management abilities
- Able to communicate in English at a conversational level, both verbally and in writing.
