We’re now looking for an HR Assistant based in Shenzhen to support our People operations across the region. This is a hands-on, varied role that would suit someone with a solid foundation in HR and a willingness to take ownership of day-to-day processes. You’ll play a key part in helping ensure our team is supported, our records are accurate, and our processes run smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Coordinate with Finance and Operations to ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs and updates
  • Help maintain and organise employee records, HR databases, and filing systems

Visa and Mobility Coordination

  • Support employment visa applications and renewals in coordination with our Hong Kong team and external consultants
  • Assist with onboarding processes for international or remote team members
  • Help track important deadlines and ensure compliance for non-local staff

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Draft and prepare HR-related documents such as contracts, letters, and policy updates
  • Ensure employee files and HR procedures meet local legal requirements and company standards
  • Assist with audit preparation and data tracking

General HR Support

  • Be a key point of contact for day-to-day HR questions and administrative support
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities, training logistics, and internal communications
  • Support ongoing HR initiatives such as performance reviews, policy rollouts, and wellbeing programs

You’ll thrive in this role if you are highly organised, detail-oriented and take pride in setting others up for success. As a senior member of the People team, you’ll be comfortable owning complex processes, collaborating across borders, and ensuring compliance at every step.

General Requirements:

  • Experience supporting HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and payroll coordination
  • Working knowledge of Chinese labor law and general understanding of employment regulations
  • Familiarity with employment visa processes (e.g. documentation, coordination with consultants or authorities)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin (essential)
  • Comfortable using common tools such as HRIS platforms, Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Highly detail-oriented, organised, and reliable with sensitive information
  • Proactive and able to problem-solve or escalate when needed
  • Team-oriented, with a willingness to work with cross-functional and regional teams
  • Bonus: Experience helping with IT or office setup during onboarding would be a plus
