About the role

Senior leadership role responsible for establishing and overseeing end-to-end settlement operations in a fast-growing fintech startup, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while guiding the team and partnering cross-functionally to strengthen controls and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify all client information and account opening documents. Conduct the necessary screening (KYC, AML, Refinitiv World Check, DOPA, PEP and related, etc.) on all applications before proceeding with the approval of the client's account opening application
  • Perform and oversee daily settlement operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and validate settlement transactions prepared by Settlement Officers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established controls and approval limits.
  • Monitor settlement status, breaks, and exceptions, and ensure timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Manage corporate actions such as dividends,  stock splits, etc., to ensure that client accounts are received or adjusted correctly.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT) to ensure smooth end-to-end transaction processing.
  • Maintain proper records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for settlement activities to meet audit and regulatory expectations.
  • Prepare and submit all required and related regulatory reports to regulators (Bank of Thailand, SEC, SET, and others) such as client monthly positions, monthly FX spread, etc.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of settlement procedures, workflows, and internal controls suitable for a startup fintech environment.
  • Assist in preparing information, reports, and evidence required for internal reviews, audits, or regulatory inspections.
  • Monitor operational risks related to settlement activities and escalate issues or incidents in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance, on-the-job training, and daily support to Settlement Officers to ensure consistent execution and adherence to procedures.
  • Support new product launches or process changes by assessing settlement impact and assisting with testing and operational readiness.
  • Liaise with external counterparties, vendors, or service providers on settlement-related matters where required.
