1. NALA, our consumer app making cross-border payments cheaper, faster, and more reliable for the global diaspora. Allowing users to send money from the UK, US, and EU to Africa and Asia.
2. Rafiki, our B2B payments infrastructure, is powering global payments.

🙌 Your Mission

As a Finance Operations Intern, you will support our finance team in day-to-day operations and gain invaluable experience in financial processes that are vital to our scaling objectives.

🎯 Your Responsibilities in this Role

• Conduct daily reconciliations of partner wallets against Statements provided by partners
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during reconciliation processes.
• Monitor outstanding reconciling items and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Treasury and Operations to ensure timely resolution of issues
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliation procedures

🔥 Must-have requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Skills

• Minimum of 6 months accounting/reconciliation experience
• Professional qualifications in progress are a plus (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and google sheets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization
