About the role
Foundational finance role to build Thailand finance from 0→1—owning statutory & management reporting, compliance, tax, treasury, and core processes—while partnering the business in a high-growth, start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own local statutory accounting and monthly close; deliver timely management reports and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Thai GAAP/IFRS and local tax; coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
- Build finance policies, SOPs, and internal controls from scratch; establish governance and documentation standards
- Manage cash/treasury, payments, AR/AP, intercompany, reconciliations, and banking relationships.
- Support FP&A (budget/forecast/KPIs), cost control, and business partnering with country/functional leaders.
- Lead finance systems and process improvements; support new product/market initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Prepare board/management packs and present clear financial insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA/CA preferred.
- 5–8 years relevant experience in Thailand; first-finance-hire/0→1 build exposure is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Thai statutory reporting, corporate tax/VAT/WHT, and compliance; IFRS exposure.
- Hands-on across GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close; meticulous and deadline-driven.
- Advanced Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems; able to set up COA, workflows, and controls.
- Clear communication in Thai and English; Chinese is a plus for regional/HQ collaboration.
- High integrity, ownership, and independence; comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced scale-up.
- Experience in brokerage/securities/fintech finance ops would be a plus
