The Expansion Markets Sales Manager leads dopay's geographic growth beyond Cairo and
Giza. This is a player-coach role that combines market entry strategy with hands-on selling and
team building. The manager will establish dopay's presence in new governorates, recruit and
develop a local sales team, and build the pipeline infrastructure needed to make new markets
self-sustaining.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can hunt deals independently while
simultaneously standing up a team, and has deep knowledge of Egypt's commercial landscape
outside the capital
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prioritize, and enter new geographic markets outside Cairo and Giza based on
employer density, industry mix, and growth potential.
• Personally prospect, pitch, and close deals in new territories during the early market-
entry phase, setting the pace and standard for the team.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of field sales representatives in expansion
territories.
• Develop market-entry playbooks including prospecting strategies, local partnerships, and
go-to-market approaches tailored to each new district.
• Build pipeline from scratch through outbound prospecting, local networking, and
coordination with SDR, inside sales, and marketing teams.
• Own and deliver new business and cardholder activation targets for all expansion
territories.
• Establish operational rhythms for the expansion team: weekly pipeline reviews,
forecasting, and activity tracking.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to adapt vertical strategies (manufacturing,
outsourcing, retail/services) for new market dynamics.
• Report market intelligence and competitive insights back to the Head of Sales to inform
broader company strategy.
• Transition mature territories to steady-state management as they scale, potentially
handing off to dedicated managers over time
7+ years of B2B field sales experience with a proven track record of opening new
markets or territories from scratch.
• Experience recruiting and building small, high-performing teams in distributed or remote
locations.
• Hunter mentality with a strong bias toward action and comfort operating in ambiguity.
• Deep knowledge of Egypt's commercial landscape across governorates and industrial
zones outside Cairo/Giza.
• Experience in payroll, fintech, HR tech, or B2B services preferred.
• Strong operational discipline: pipeline management, CRM usage, forecasting accuracy.
• Willingness to travel extensively during the establishment phase and on a regular basis
to attend meetings.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
