About The Team

Amartha is accelerating its digital transformation journey in 2025, with a strong focus on strengthening risk management for digital lending and financial services. As part of this initiative, we are looking for a E-Money and Digital Delivery Risk Head to lead and shape the risk strategy for our digital financial ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in overseeing risk frameworks, mitigating potential threats, and ensuring compliance as we scale our digital lending platforms. The Head will work cross-functionally with product, technology, data science, and operations teams to build a secure, resilient, and efficient risk management system tailored for our growing agent network and digital services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework for e-money services, focusing on operational, fraud, and credit risks associated with Amartha Link agents.
  • Establish and refine risk controls such as transaction limits, fraud detection mechanisms, and secure onboarding processes to safeguard e-money transactions.
  • Analyze risks tied to high-volume and low-volume transactions, cross-border payments, cash flow fluctuations, and account takeovers within the agent ecosystem.
  • Partner with data science teams to develop advanced risk scoring models and fraud detection algorithms tailored for Amartha Link agents.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, business, and operations teams to embed robust risk controls into e-money products and services.
  • Provide strategic insights and reports to senior leadership on risk exposure, fraud trends, and the overall performance of e-money and agent services.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and proactively adapt to evolving regulations in the digital finance space.

  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, digital payments, fintech, or MSME banking, with a strong background in e-money services.
  • Proven track record in leading risk strategies for digital financial services, including fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of the MSME segment, including the financial behaviors, risks, and challenges faced by small business owners and agents.
  • Strong experience in building and managing risk frameworks for digital lending and payments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for e-money and digital financial services.
