Data Source Manager

With Intelligence is a leading global provider of data and insight for the asset management industry. Our platform connects investors and managers to the critical information they need for successful fund-raising and investment decisions. 

We are looking for an experienced Data Source Manager to join our data team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our data supply chain, ensuring high-quality data acquisition and integrity from various sources. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our data processes and enhancing the overall quality of our data products.

As a Data Source Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into effective sourcing strategies. You will also analyze current data sources, identify improvements, and explore new opportunities to expand our data portfolio.

This position is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of data management, excellent communication skills, and an eye for detail while managing external data vendor relationships. You will lead initiatives to ensure compliance with data governance standards and drive continuous improvement in our data sourcing processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage global research teams that focus on optimizing sourcing through machine learning and high-volume processing.
• Develop and manage relationships with external data providers to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely data.
• Evaluate and onboard new data sources, conducting thorough assessments to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee data quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of data integrity and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop appropriate sourcing strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and identify emerging data sourcing opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Manage data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Generate reports and insights on data sourcing performance, issues, and trends.

• At least 3 years experience managing research teams across global locations.
• Proven experience in data management, data acquisition, or vendor management, preferably within financial services or data-driven industries.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess and interpret data quality and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Proficiency in data management tools and software, with a keen interest in technology trends in the data space.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
