BI Team Lead

With Intelligence is a global provider of data for the asset management industry and at the start of a data transformation. The ambition of the company is to continue its growth trajectory and use data to drive internal decision making. 

Due to a recent acquisition, we are expanding our Sofia, Bulgaria operation with a newly developed Business Intelligence (BI) team. This is set to enhance how we utilise data insights across our organisation. We are seeking an experienced BI Team Lead who is passionate about data analytics and can support and drive our culture of data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts, ensuring successful project execution and team development
• Develop, implement, and optimise BI processes and methodologies
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Oversee the design and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Resource Planning with assigning task and projects ensuring members of the squad are utilised. Oversee daily tasks and make sure the team is on track to deliver to project timelines
• Ensure the team adheres to industry best practices for data governance and management
• Conduct the onboarding for each new squad member and coordinate necessary training of daily tasks.
• Contribute to strategic planning by providing analytical insights and recommendations
• Identify training needs and provide guidance to team members
• Continuously evaluate and improve BI tools and processes to enhance performance

• Proven experience as a BI Team Lead or senior experienced role in a data analytics environment
• Strong proficiency in BI tools, particularly Tableau, for data visualisation
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and database design
• Expertise in SQL for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to interpret and translate business objectives into analytical solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders
• Familiarity with BI best practices and data governance principles
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive BI initiatives

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience working in Financial Services and understanding financial data
• Knowledge of DevOps practices in BI implementation
